AWANA Sign Up Tonight!

The Awana name is derived from an idea in the Bible found in II Timothy 2:15 which reads, "Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed."

*
Why Awana? In the purpose of Awana is stated best in the pledge to the Awana flag, "I pledge allegiance to the Awana flag, which stands for the Awana Clubs, whose goal is to reach boys and girls with the gospel of Christ, and train them to serve Him.
*
What do Awana Clubs teach?
The Gospel of Jesus Christ. Everyone is a sinner (Romans 3:23) and in God's eyes deserves eternal punishment in hell (Romans 6:23, Revelation 20:15). But Jesus Christ, God's Son, paid the penalty for our sin when He was crucified on the cross and arose from the dead (Romans 5:8; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4). If we trust Jesus Christ as our personal Savior, we receive God's gift of eternal life in heaven. John 3:16 says, "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Salvation is a free gift; we cannot buy it or earn it by doing good works (Ephesians 2:8-9). Instead we must simply accept it. Each child and leader must understand this important message, for it is what our Awana Clubs teach and the reason for their existence.

My church, Forestville Baptist, is having sign-ups for AWANA's tonight for ages 2 yrs old -5th grade. AWANA meets every Wednesday night from 6:30 - 8:00 pm.

Last year was my childrens first experience with AWANA. They LOVED it! And, I did, too! The joy of seeing your child memorize Bible verse after Bible verse...to see them grow in their relationship with God, to find friends that are growing in God, too...PRICELESS!

I encourage you to sign up your child for AWANA. We'd love to have you attend at Forestville, but there are AWANA clubs at churches all over the area (and beyond!). FInd an AWANA Club today and enroll your child. You won't regret it!

I had no idea you went to Forrestville. My dad was the pastor at Reedy River when I was growing up. So we probably know lots of the same people. We just have to get together for coffee and see how many things and people we have in common.
