The kids are running around the house super excited that we have snow! Of course, I think the possibility of no school has something to do with that, also.

Why no school with such a small amount of snow?
Well, it's been raining for 2 days and the roads are very wet.
That means as the temp drops tonight,
the roads will freeze and it will be too dangerous to drive.

Another big concern is loosing power. Again, it's not the snow but the ice. The rain made the power lines wet and they will freeze over night and they may fall due to the weight. Plus the ground is so wet that trees are beginning to fall pulling down the lines.

Yes, we love the snow but not that nasty ice that comes with it.
